Last week I had the pleasure of presenting on the topic of scenario planning via a virtual workshop with my fellow Coaching associates (Ak, Margaret, Daniel, Jill, Pat, Chris C, Chris S , Ros and Trish).
The key highlights included:
– The global pandemic has added layers of uncertainty to an already
uncertain world.
– A step to ‘owning uncertainty’ is planning for multiple future
scenarios.
– The way to do that is through our TDSI squared model:
- Trends: Identify key trends most meaningful to your Business
- Develop: future scenarios based on those trends
- Strategy: Identify your Strategic response for each scenario
- Implement and iterate.
We had some fun applying TDSI sq to Qantas as a case study. There were clearly many budding airline CEOs in attendance.
A big thanks to those in attendance and stay tuned for our next virtual workshop/conversation where we will be discussing the key skills required when managing uncertainty.
